My story started when I recently taught myself how to decorate sugar cookies. I had attempted it several years ago and gave up.  But, this time around I was fiercely determined so that I could help create cute treats for my kiddos birthday parties. Although my poor family was forced to eat batch after batch of great tasting but poorly designed cookies.

Once my cookies started to look as good as they tasted, my daughter was the one that first said we needed to “start a business”.  And when I began hearing the same remarks from many other friends, I started to consider it.  I took the safe leap and began selling them to just a few close friends and then earlier this year (2018), I took a step “outside of my comfort zone” and a giant leap of faith.  And here I am, sweetly (or should I say SweetLay) designing cookies. Perhaps I should point out my last name is Lay. Get it, SweetLay?! Moving on.....

I make cookies because it’s therapeutic.  I sell cookies because someone encouraged me to share a talent.  For now, I enjoy being a small part of your milestones and special family occasions.  I appreciate each opportunity I’m given.

I currently proudly serve Boerne, Texas and the surrounding Hill Country area including San Antonio, Texas.
